Veterinary College Admission Test 2014

The Veterinary College Admission Test often called the VCAT is a former Veterinary school admissions examination. Depending on the school, pre-veterinary students usually take the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) or the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) for entrance to schools now. The VCAT assesses knowledge and academic ability that is necessary for successful completion of a graduate education in a veterinary college.

Veterinary College Admission Test 2014There are students who have taken very difficult courses or who are in very competitive universities. The VCAT is based on approximately 300 total questions in a multiple-choice format. The questions are independent from any other question unless specifically stated otherwise.

The approximate time of the VCAT (including rest and lunch breaks) is about three and one half hours (210 minutes). In the exam Fifty biology questions, Fifty chemistry (inorganic and organic) questions, Forty reading comprehension questions, Forty quantitative questions and Fifty verbal questions and total questions will be 300.

The VCAT is offered twice a year, usually in October and November. When the VCAT exam conducted and one month after the exam result will be declared and after some time the VCAT cut off will be published.
